Marthinus’ vision and drive, his ability to build and maintain relationships and years of experience equip him with a unique combination of skills and expertise to lead Amplify from strength to strength.
He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has held several senior leadership positions. Marthinus joined Sanlam Investments in May 2012 as head of distribution for Sanlam Multi-Manager, where he was responsible for the sales and distribution strategy for retail intermediaries. Before moving to Amplify, Marthinus was head of retail distribution for the Sanlam Investments retail business.
Marthinus has a passion for nature and conservation.
HEAD OF STRATEGY
With his strategic insights, passion for people and acute understanding of the markets, Richard plays a critical role in defining the go-to-market strategy and positioning of Amplify, ultimately leading to the growth and success of the business. He has almost 15 years’ experience in financial services. He started his career in the banking sector and weathered the 2008 banking crisis while working for a British bank. Following this, Richard joined Standard Bank Offshore, where he was responsible for growing their offshore investment offering in 11 countries across Africa.
In 2013 he moved to the Western Cape to join Sanlam Investments where he was Head of Strategy and Client Solutions for the Retail business before moving to Amplify.
Richard is an avid nature lover and spends a vast quantity of his time outdoors.

Chris derives his strong sense of purpose from people, relationships and education. His desire is to make a real difference in others’ lives by equipping them with knowledge and skill to save and invest meaningfully; empowering people to help themselves and perpetuate a legacy of generation wealth.
This mindset together with his ten years’ industry experience and financial advice background, makes him a compelling contributor to his role in client interface. Before joining Amplify, he spent four years with REZCO Asset Management as an investment specialist, advising financial advisors on how to make the best use of their funds range. Prior to Rezco, he spent four years with PSG offering holistic financial planning to their clients.

Emma is an admitted Attorney by trade, but due to her passion for investments, she joined the asset management industry, initially as a data analyst with the Sanlam Investments’ Multi-Manager. She later joined Amplify Investment Partners as a business development manager. Here her role involves liaising with clients and building the Amplify brand in the investment community, while creating greater awareness of Amplify’s dual role of both financial returns for investors as well as positive environmental impact.
Emma’s ultimate goal in life is to achieve equal education, equal opportunities and wealth creation for all.

The Manager retails full legal responsibility for the co-brand portfolio’s. Collective investments are calculated on a net asset value basis, which is the total market value of all assets in the portfolio including any income accruals and less any deductible expenses such as audit fees, brokerage and service fees. Forward pricing is used. Performance is based on NAV to NAV calculations with income reinvestments done on the ex-div date. Performance is calculated for the portfolio and the individual investor performance may differ as a result of initial fees, actual investment date, date of reinvestment and dividend withholding tax.
